Bio

Lizzie was the eldest of 8 children born to Lorenz and Catharina (Roeder) Bamberg. Her early years were spent in Kansas and then the family moved to Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1893 where Lizzie lived the rest of her life. On March 19, 1905, Lizzie married Alvaro Jones and they had 3 children together. Lizzie's days were busy with raising her children, farm chores and making sure anyone working on the farm was well fed. After Alvaro passed away, Lizzie married Fred Wilber Porter on July 20, 1947.
