Edna Mildred Gant Edna Mildred (Jones) Gant, 102, El Dorado Springs, passed away March 30, 2011. She was born Jan. 9, 1909, to Alvaro and Lizzie Jones in Kingfisher, OK. Edna attended and graduated high school in 1928 at Big Four High School in Kingfisher. In 1932, she married Cleo Gant. To this union three sons were born - Marvin Eugene(1932-2004), Norman Lee(1934-2012) and Wayne Allen(Died at birth). Edna and Cleo moved their whole clan to the prairies outside Denver Colorado. After Cleo's death she relocated with her sons to Missouri. It was there she married Jesse Stutesman. After his passing, she married Charles Headlee. But did not remarry again after outliving 3 husbands. She affiliated with the Methodist Church and was baptized at an early age. Edna was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed dancing, gardening and flowers. Preceding her in death were her parents; three husbands - Cleo Gant, Jesse Stutesman and Charles Headlee; two sons, Marvin "Gene" and Wayne Allen; a sister, Neva; a brother, Elmo; and a daughter-in-law, Sandy. Survivors include one son, Norman and wife, Annie - El Dorado Springs; seven grandchildren - Dennis Gant, Darrell Gant and wife, Katy, Debra Smith and husband, Bob, Dale Gant and wife, Susan, Sheila Rieken and husband, Larry, Jerry Gant and wife, Annie, and Gale McBeth; a host of great-grandchildren, 1 great, great grandson and many other relatives and friends. Services were held Saturday, April 2, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Robert Newberry officiating. Rusty Carver provided music. Interment was Monday, April 4, at Kingfisher Cemetery in Kingfisher, OK.
