Bio
Florence Isabella Vitovsky, 99, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Ennis. Florence was born in Bardwell, Texas on September 18, 1912 to Charles S. and Frances (Haskovec) Nekuza. She grew up in Bardwell and graduated from Bardwell High School in 1930. On November 16, 1938 she married Joe W. Vitovsky. She worked for Texas Power and Light for over twenty-five years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, KJZT #16, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, and the Ennis Business and Professional Women's Club. She is survived by one sister: Carolyn Jurik; two nieces: Joyce Plasek and her husband, Ed Plasek and Dr. Nancy Jurik and her husband, Gray Cavendar; one great niece: Kelly Falkenbach; one great nephew: David Lee Plasek and great-great nieces and nephews: Scott Falkenbach, Kara Falkenbach and Kaden Plasek. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Vitovsky on January 9, 1997 and one brother, E.R. Nekuza. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 5 until 7 p.m. with Rosary at 6 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of the Christian burial will take place on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant.
