Bio

Charlie C. Nekuza, 70, lifelong resident of the Bardwell area, died at his home Monday afternoon. He had been ill two weeks. Nekuza was a farmer and an extensive landowner. He was the son of the late John and Karolina Skopek Nekuza. He was married in 1908 to Miss Frances Haskovec of Ennis. Survivors include his wife; one son, E.R. Nekuza of Bardwell; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Vitovsky of Ennis and Mrs. Willie C. Jurick of Bardwell; one sister, Mrs. Ed Bozek of Bardwell; and two grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at Keever Chapel in Ennis at 8 o'clock tonight. Requiem Mass will be said at the St. John Catholic Church in Ennis at 9 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. M.L. Slovacek as celebrant. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis. Nekuza was a member of the SPJST Society and of the Ellis County Farm Bureau. Waxahachie Daily Light, Tuesday, July 14, 1959
