Bio
Dave attended West High School, where he was the Senior Class President, and a member of the 1960 West Trojans Football District Champions. David graduated from Texas A&M in 1964, and married Bonnie Sue O'Neil in 1966. He was a Captain in the Air Force in Vietnam. After returning home, he began public accounting work, and had his own CPA practice from 1979 to this current day. David was a wonderful father, grandfather, and our "handyman". He enjoyed restoring cars, and he loved the beach. He was not only a father, but a great friend and advocate of his children, and was an active member of his church. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Hermann and Angeline Vrba Uptmore. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Bonnie S. Uptmore; three daughters, Natalie Green, Molly Boyd, Stephanie Berry; and his best friend and only son, Dr. David J. Uptmore, Jr.; grandchildren, TJ, Katy, Elizabeth, Brooke, Blake, Emily, Laura, Bryan and Ashley; brothers, James, Ted, Pat, Alan; sister, Sissy Beard; and numerous loved family members and friends. Dave was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
