Marie Wilson, 82, of Lubbock, Texas and formerly of Levelland, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Funeral Services are under the direction of George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas, will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at George Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Texas and will be held at 11 a.m. with Reverend Ed Clark officiating. Marie was born on December 18, 1929 in Estelleine, Texas. She was the daughter of James and Carrie (Leavelle) Strickland. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1946 and began her nursing career as a L.V.N. Marie Strickland married Dick Wilson on November 29, 1948 in Lovington, New Mexico. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class at Broadview Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip (Dick) Wilson; two sisters, Fay Bartlett, Ocia Mote; and four brothers, Alvie Strickland, Aaron Strickland, Durwood Strickland, and James Strickland, Jr. Per Lubbock A-J of 1/20/2012 -----------------------------------------
