Parent: Vestal Argo WILSON Parent: Elsie Jane ADAMS Spouse: Marie STRICKLAND Funeral services for Phillip "Dick" Wilson, 84, of Lubbock will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in the George Price Funeral Chapel with Rev. Les Jackson, Chaplain of NurseCare Hospice officiating. Private family burial in the City of Levelland Cemetery is under direction of George Price Funeral Home of Levelland. Phillip was born to Vestal and Elsie Wilson on February 26, 1924 in Irving. He married Marie Strickland on November 29, 1948 and they shared 60 years together. A former POW, he served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a retired oil field driller. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lloyd Wilson. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, a son, a sister, a brother, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. LubbockOnline.com
