Joseph E. Holub Jr. son of Joseph and Frances Holub.Joseph E. Holub Jr. married Annie Virginia Dittrich on February 4,1923. Children Thomas Holub Bobby "Joe" Holub III James "Jimmy" Holub 2 grandchildren ________________ Fall From Tree Is Fatal to Joe Holub Jr. Joseph E. Holub Jr.,58,local school bus driver,died late Sunday evening in Youens Hospital about 3 hours after falling from a pecan tree at his farm four miles southwest of Weimar. A 3-inch limb broke under his weight while he was threshing pecans and he fell about 20 feet to the ground,landing on his side.He never regained consciousness.Some friends with him summoned a doctor,who examined him there,then brought him to the hospital.The accident occurred at about 3 p.m. Born about a mile west of Weimar Nov.19,1898,Mr.Holub was the son of Frances Holub,now of Wharton,and the late Joe Holub Sr.He spent his entire life in this vicinity,in his early years working at the Boettcher Company and for 25 years at Fred Rabel's Ford Motor Co.,later at Lack's Auto Supply.He became a bus driver 15 years ago when Weimar Public School got its first bus.He also did some part-time farming. Mr.Holub's wife,the former Miss Annie Dittrich,whom he married on Feb.4,1923,died four years ago. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Hubbard Funeral Home and St. Michael's Catholic Church.Msgr.A.F. Drozd officiated,assisted by Rev.Thomas Flanagan.Rev.Arnold Anders and other priests.
