Frances Holub daughter of John and Rose Steffek.Frances Steffek married Joseph Holub. ________________ Final Rites for Mrs.Jos. Holub,86,Held Friday Funeral services for Mrs.Frances Holub,86,who had lived at Wharton the past four years but otherwise was a lifelong Fayette County resident,were held last Friday morning,Sept.12,at Hubbard Funeral Home and St. Michael's Catholic Church.Rt.Rev.Msgr.A.F. Drozd officiated,assisted by Rev.Thomas Flanagan. Mrs.Holub during her long illness lived in Wharton with a daughter,Mrs.Wilkes Darnwell.She had been in Caney Valley Hospital there two weeks when she died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,Sept.10. Born March 9,1872,in Fayette County,a daughter of John and Rose Steffek,she was married to Joseph Holub in 1890. Pallbearers were her nephews,Oscar Holub,George Konvicka,Thomas Holub,Clarence Holub,Edwin Barta and Jimmy Sokel. (condensed) Weimar Mercury,Sept.19,1958
