Frances Ruth Norick Lilly, age 83, of Oklahoma City, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Frances was born February 16, 1918, in Oklahoma City, to Henry Calvin Norick and Ruth Coleman Norick. The family lived in Waynoka, Oklahoma from 1923 to 1928 and moved back to Oklahoma City where she graduated from Classen High School in 1935. She attended Hill's Business College. Frances married P.A. Lilly in 1944. Dedicated to the family business, Fran worked at Norick Brothers printing company until 1992, when the business was sold in a large corporate merger. She remained an active partner of Norick Investment Company, a 23 family member holding company representing three generations of Norick's. She will always be remembered for her sharp mind, quick wit, and quiet generosity. Frances was preceded in death by her mother and father, and by her husband, Pete, who died in 1986. She is survived by her brother, James H. Norick and his wife, Madalynne; sisters, Dorothy Patton and her husband, Wilbur; and Marjorie Norick; brother-in- law, A.W. Lilly and his wife, Jewel; nieces and nephews, David Patton and his wife, Jody; Julie Patton McIntosh and her husband, Bill; Kristina Patton Beatty, Vickie Norick Koumaris, Ronald J. Norick and his wife, Kandy; Donna Lilly, Deborah Lilly English and her husband, Hank, and many great and great great nieces and nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express appreciation to her dedicated caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
