Marjorie Jeanne Norick was born February 26, 1924, in Waynoka, Oklahoma (Woods County), daughter of Henry Calvin Norick and Ruth Coleman. Marjorie had four older siblings, all born in Oklahoma: Frances Ruth Norick, born February 16, 1918; James Henry Norick, born January 23, 1920; Infant Unnamed Son, born April 2, 1921; and Dorothy Ann Norick, born June 19, 1922. Marjorie never married or had children. She died November 9, 2009 in Oklahoma City and was buried in Rose Hill Burial Park near her parents. Obituary, The Oklahoman, November 12, 2009 Marjorie J. Norick, age 85, of Oklahoma City, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009, of congestive heart failure. Marge was born February 26, 1924, in Waynoka, Oklahoma to Henry Calvin Norick and Ruth Coleman Norick. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1928. She attended Oklahoma City public schools and graduated in 1942 from Classen High School. Dedicated to the family business, Marge worked at Norick Brothers printing company until 1992, when the business was sold in a corporate merger. She remained an active partner in Norick Investment Company, a 21 family member holding company representing three generations of Norick's, and MJN Enterprises. She had a wonderfully quirky sense of humor. She enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including singing in the church choir, fishing trips to Minnesota and Lake Tenkiller, bowling, playing cards, going to horse races, and traveling all over the world. Marge was a devoted aunt to her five nieces and nephews. She was generous to her family and her community. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her sister, Frances Norick Lilly. She is survived by her brother, James H. Norick; sister, Dorothy Patton and her husband, Wilbur; nieces and nephews: David Patton and his wife, Jody; Julie Patton McIntosh and her husband, Bill; Kristina Patton Beatty, Vickie Norick, Ronald J. Norick and his wife, Kandy, and many great and great great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express appreciation to her dedicated caregivers, Susie Carlsen, Jamie Halbert, and Alene McVay-Heilaman and the staff at Bellevue Nursing Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: The Hearts for Hearing Foundation, 3525 N.W. 56th, Suite A150, Oklahoma City, OK 73112. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Crown Heights Christian Church, 4020 N. Western, Oklahoma City.
