McKinney Courier Gazette September 19 1922 Andy Wright dies at Home Here Forty years ago he settled in New Hope Community - was former merchant at New Hope. Andy Wright aged 75 years died at this home on East Greenville Street Tuesday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Deceased had been in feeble health for the past several weeks. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Wilson Chapel conducted by the The Rev. L.A. West of Farmersville. Internment will be made in the Wilson Chapel cemetery. Deceased was a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Wright was born in Kentucky grew to manhood and was married in that state. About forty years ago he moved to Collin County and settled in the New Hope Community, about four and one-half miles esst of McKinney, where he has since resided. He engaged in farming for a number of years. For a number of years he was interested in the general mercantile business having stores at New Hope and Ardath. Besides his widow he is survived by two daughters, Mrs Lizzie Rice(this is an error as Lizzie died in 1910), Mrs Ollie Sue Reneau of Van Alstyne. He also has one brother and three sisters living in Kentucky. Note: Three granddaughters had also passed away at this time. Louie Andrews Gist, Viola Andrews Eastham and Effie Rice. One brother Pryor Wright(1853-1885) also buried at Wilson Chapel Cemetery.
