Bio

Mckinney Courier Gazatte March 1, 1910 Death of Mrs. Lizzie Rice This community was shocked to hear of the death of Mrs Lizzie Rice, which occurred at the home of her parents Mr and Mrs Andy Wright. Mrs Rice was born Oct 20 1874, and was first married to Walter Andrews, Nov 9, 1893. On Aug 1898 Mr Andrews died(typhoid fever) leaving her with two children, Viola and Louie. On August 22, 1901 she was married to David Rice. By this marriage there were three children, Ruby, Bush, and Effie. Mrs. Rice joined the Baptist church in Aug 1908 and has lived a Christian ever since. Funeral services were held at 12:30 o'clock at the Jacob Routh church of which she was a member. Rev. J.S. Camp conducted the services. The remains were laid to rest in Pecan Grove Cemetery Friday afternoon. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to her husband, father, mother, and sister and children in their sorrow. New Hope Feb 21.
