PRISCILLA was born April 10, 1920 in Lodi, Neb., the eldest of four children, of the late Timothy Alexander Kolbo and Nettie Mary (Bridges) Kolbo. Her life on the farm was happy. In 1939, she graduated from Callaway High School in Neb. She taught at a one room school for two years while pursuing a correspondence business course. Priscilla then worked at the Navy Ammunition Depot in Hastings, Neb. She married Benjamin Wesley Stinman on Sept. 28, 1944 in Topeka, Kan., where he was in an army hospital. After Ben was discharged, they returned to farming in Callaway. They were blessed with three children, Glen, Charles and Nancy. A son, Dale, was stillborn. They moved to Forest Grove in 1951, making it their home for forty-five years. In 1996, they moved to Portland. Priscilla became a secretary and bookkeeper at Pacific University Library in Forest Grove in 1962, retiring in 1981. She also served as the membership secretary at the United Methodist Church in Forest Grove. They enjoyed their retirement years, traveling to Hawaii and Nebraska. Priscilla especially enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Providence Hospice, the Visiting Angels and her wonderful caregiver, Meg Talbott. Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in 2007, after celebrating over sixty-two years of marriage together. Survivors include her son, Chuck (Helen) Stinman, of Troutdale; and her daughter, Nancy (Mark) Champion, of Eugene; her four grandchildren, Amy (Tyler) Childers, of Corvallis; Eric Champion, of Eugene; Katie Stinman, of Portland; and Will Stinman, of Portland; and her two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Ethan.
