Son of Carl and Bertha von Podolska of Germany (Prussia). He came to the US and farmed in the Osage, Coryell County area. He married Bertha "Bettie" Englebrecht 16 Dec 1892. Children of this marriage were: Erich, Minnie, Alfred, Olga and Willie "Bill"
