Mrs. Kristina Islakar, wife of Karl Islakar, a resident of Lovington for the past 32 years, died in St. Mary's hospital in Decatur Tuesday afternoon. She had not been well for a long time and had been admitted to the hospital on April 25th in a serious condition. Her condition gradually grew worse. Mrs. Islakar was born December 24, 1883 in Sagor, Austria, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Struber. She was united in marriage to Karl Islakar in Austria in 1906. To this union three children were born. A son who died at the age of six months in Austria, Pvt, Henry Islakar, who is stationed at Camp Reynolds, Penna., and Mrs. Kristina Carey. The latter is a graduate nurse and has given her mother constant care for many months. Also a little grandchild, Kristina Mary Islakar, born July 13th of this year. Mr. and Mrs. Islakar came to this country 35 years ago and after living at Livingston a few years moved to Lovington. Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 2:30 p.m. in the Methodist church in charge of the pastor, Rev. James K. White. Interment in Kellar cemetery.
