MARY SRUBAR DORNAK SAN ANTONIO - Mary Srubar Dornak, 94, of San Antonio, formerly of El Campo, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011. She was born April 18, 1917, in East Bernard to the late Louis and Anna Srubar. She was a retired caterer, and had prepared many meals for the Rotary Club of El Campo. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the KJZT Society. She is survived by her daughters, Dorene Hedric and husband John of Dallas, Kathy Hoffman and husband Dr. Michael of San Antonio, Debbie Patlovany and husband Larry of San Antonio; sons, J. V. Dornak and wife Genevieve, and Dwight Dornak and wife Shari, all of El Campo; brother, W. V. "Bill" Srubar of East Bernard; sisters, Matilda Stavinoha of Pearland and Annie Meyer of Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Dornak; brothers, Andrew, Louis, and Frank Srubar; and sisters, Bessie Cykala and Martha Fread. Visitation will be 1 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Triska Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at St. Philip Church, with the Funeral Mass following at 2 p.m., with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Pallbearers: grandsons, Dwayne Dornak, Christopher Patlovany, Dr. Matthew Patlovany, James Dornak, Glenn Dornak, and Justin Hoffman.
