James Dornak Sr., 93, of El Campo, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006. He was born July 9, 1912, in Hillje, to the late Paul and Otillia Stokr Dornak. He was a farmer, rancher and a caterer, a member of SPJST Society, and a member of St. Philip Catholic Church. Survivors: wife, Mary Srubar Dornak of El Campo; daughters, Dorene Hedric of Hickory Creek; Kathy Hoffman of McQueeny, and Debbie Patlovany of San Antonio; sons, J.V. Dornak and Dwight Dornak both of El Campo; sisters, Minnie Mae Sheppard of North Texas; Julia Knudsen of El Campo; 15 grandchild; and 16 great-grandchilden. Preceded in death by: brothers, Paul Dornak, Henry Dornak, Rudolph Dornak, Louis Dornak, Charlie Dornak, Robert Dornak, and Joseph Dornak; and sisters, Otillia Dornak and Annie Chomout. Visitation will begin at noon today at Triska Funeral Home. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Philip Catholic Church, the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 361-543-3681.
