Bio

Farmer, carpenter, beloved grandpaw. Husband of Ida Parrot Rosenbalm, who preceded him in death on July 4, 1961. Father of (chronologically) Gypsy Dorene, William Burl, Deward Elwood, Lloyd Wilburn, James Arthur and Joyce Louise Hall. He was a tough man, who could be stern. He could also play the french harp (harmonica), sing and recite poetry (much to the delight of his sister, Thompsie). In the earlier years of my life, I did not know him very well, but when I was around 9 or 10 years of age, he built a frame house on an acre of our farm and I came to love him and he to love me very much. He was "my" special grandpaw and I still miss him very much.
