Bio
Martha Davis Brooks was the daughter of Joseph C. Davis and Sarah A. Short of Denton Co, TX. She was the wife of Casey J. Brooks. The 1900 AND 1910 census records show her to be a twin of her brother Marshall. The 1920 census shows them to be a year apart. Her TX DC AND her tombstone give her birth date as 6 Mar 1897....however, someone else has to give that information for the record and for the tombstone. She may well have been born 6 Mar 1899. ???? I have never found a burial record for her father, Joseph C. Davis. His TX DC gives his date of death as 28 Oct 1912 in Sanger, Denton Co, TX. "GAV Sullin," if I read it correctly, appears to be his place of burial. ???
