The Atchison Daily Globe, Saturday, February 25, 1933 Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. E. H. Harden at her home in Colorado, February 23, Mrs. Harden had been a sufferer with rheumatism for years. She was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania, February 13, 1868 and came to kansas with her parents when only six years old and settled at Old Huron where she lived until eight years ago when the family moved to Colorado for her health. She was the daughter of James Scarbro Grimes, and was the youngest of a family of seven children of which only two survive. She was married to E. H. Harden, also of Old Huron February 27, 1889, and they lived at Old Huron until going to Colorado. To them three sons were born, Willie, Cecil and Harold. WIllie died December 12, 1912. Cecil and family moved to Colorado to be able to care for their mother during her long illness. Harold, another son, lived near the home place. Mr. Harden is accompanying the body here for burial. It will arrive from Omaha Monday to be taken to the home of her nieces, Misses Ida and Margaret Meeker. The funeral will be at the Presbyterian church at Huron at 2 o'clock Tuesday. Burial in the family lot at Old Huron.
