Bio

Bill's parents farmed in Nebraska and South Dakota, moving back to Boyd county, NE in 1919. His father died that same year. Bill lived with his mother in Spencer, NE and when his mother remarried to Thomas Boska, they moved to a farm south of Spencer. Bill married Libia Nemec on 25 Aug 1936 in Boyd county, NE (marriage book 4B, page 475). They lived in Spencer, NE and Bill worked as a carpenter, then he started working at a gravel pit that took him away from the family for a week at a time. In 1944, Bill got a job with NPPD power company, eventually becoming a lead operator. He retired in 1975. He was a fisherman and hunter and built the home that the family lived in from 1952 until their deaths. Bill passed away from cancer. William and Libia had two daughters, Betty Ann and Rita Jean.
