Bio

Anna was the daughter of Frank & Barbara (Busek) Scheinost. Her family moved to a homestead in Boyd County, NE around 1892. She married Anton J. Hambek on 5 Nov 1910 in Boyd county (marriage book 2, page 152). Anton and Anna lived with his parents on the farm for a couple years and then moved to a farm in Hamill, SD and later homesteaded in Meade co, SD near Red Owl. After learning Anton was sick with Leukemia, they moved back to Boyd county, NE near Gross, NE in 1919. After Anton's death that same year, Anna was able to move to a place in Spencer with her children where she became a laundress working out of her home to support the family. Anton and Anna had children: William "Bill" Hambek, Ethel Hambek Soukup, Helen Hambek Krupicka and Goldie Hambek Olin. Anna married Thomas Boska on 8 May 1923 in Boyd county (marriage book 3, page 84). They farmed south of Spencer, NE and later moved to a farm north in the Gross/Spencer area. After retiring from farming in the early 1960's, they bought a house on Main Street in Spencer, NE. Thomas and Anna had children: Thomas "Tommie" Boska, Millie Boska Long, Irene Boska Stringfellow and Ramon Boska.
