Ord Chapel Rites for Ella Kvetensky Funeral services were Tuesday for Mrs. Ella (Adamek) Kvetensky who died April 30, 1977 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord after a lingering illness. She was 81. The Rev. Ron Roemmich officiated at the 11 am rites at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Shirley Karre was the organist for Mrs. Sharon Fuss who sang 'In The Garden' and 'The Lord's Prayer'. Pallbearers were Charles Fryzek, Jerry Moody, Michael Adamek, Mitchel Adamek, Edward Hale and Frank Klapal. Burial was in the National Cemetery west of Ord. Ella Adamek Kvetensky was born December 30, 1895 in Boyd County, Nebraska to Frank and Barbara Scheinsot. Her early life was spent on the family farm in Boyd County where she attended rural school. Ella was united in marriage to Frank Adamek October 6, 1915 in Spencer, NE. They moved to a farm in Custer County near Sargent where they farmed until Mr. Adamek's death in February 1945. Ella then moved to Ord. She was united in marriage to Ladislav Kvetensky March 31, 1959 at Ord. They farmed west of Ord just north of the National Hall until 1962 when they retired and moved to Ord. Mr. Kvetensky died November 11, 1967. Ella has made her home in Ord rest homes since 1969. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Crist of Arcadia; one son, Frank Adamek of Pittsburg, PA, one step-daughter, Mrs Martha Fryzek of Ord; step-sons, Lad F. Kvetensky of Ralston, Joe Kvetensky of Omaha and Anton Kvetensky of Grand Island, also three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Bessie Klapal of Broken Bow. Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, five brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be given in her memory to the Valley County Hospital. (Obituary submitted by Starlight FAG# 47723180.)
