He was married to Parthenia Frances Champion Fowler (1873-1968) on 19 July 1896. They became the parents of Robert Allvin Fowler (1897-1967), Myrtle Francis Fowler [Howard] (1898-1975) and Minnie Leola Fowler [Howard] (1901-1972). Robert died 1 August 1932 in Ennis, Ellis, Texas.
