"Lillian Josephine Harlan, 95, of Huntsville died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, in Moberly Regional Medical Center. Born in Darksville on July 12, 1899, she was a daughter of Edwin S. Cavanaugh and Olive Wolverton Cavanaugh. A member of the Huntsville First Baptist Church and the Town and Country Homemakers, she and Ural Harlan were married Dec. 6, 1916, in Randolph County. He died Oct. 20, 1951. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leroy. Mrs. Harlan had lived in Huntsville the past 38 years, moving there from north of Huntsville. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Clarabell Harlan, New Albany, Ohio; Wallace and Ilene Harlan, Shawnee, KS; an adopted son and his wife, Milton and Barbara Harlan, Huntsville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mrs. Leon (Dorothy) Colley, Huntsville; Maudie and Kent Webster, Huntsville, and Lois and Robert Wegs, Glenwood, IA; one brother, Lloyd Cavanaugh, Moberly; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Million-Taylor-Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, Rev. Weldon Frazee will officiate. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association." Moberly Monitor-Index, Monday, October 10, 1994
