HARLAN Donnie W. Harlan, age 81, of New Albany, died Sunday, February 13, 2004 at Grant Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Veteran WWII US Army, where he was a P.O.W. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Member of Franklin United Brethren Church. Long time Church Trustee. Retired Building Mechanic for Ohio Bell. Member of the Telephone Pioneers, Communication Workers of America and the EX POW'S. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Clarabell Harlan; brothers, Wallace (Ileen) Harlan and Milton (Barbara) Harlan; sisters, Dorothy Colley, Maudie (Kent) Webster and Lois (Bob) Wegs; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at the Franklin United Brethren Church, 7171 Central College Road, New Albany, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating.
