------------------------- Wellington Leader December 2, 1993 W.C. "Ted" Poling, 76, dies Wednesday, November 24 in Childress Regional Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1917 to Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Poling at Arlie. He attended school at Arlie. He and his wife, the former Gladys Bradfield of Welling, were married June 31, 1939 in Hollis, OK. They moved to Childress where he was employed by the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of the home; two sons, David Poling of Childress and Bobby Poling of Van Nuys, CA; one daughter, Patsy Sledge of Waco; one brother, J.D. Poling of Altus, OK; one sister, Leona Covey of Grapevine and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dillon and Weldon. -------
