Bio

Wellington Leader March 31, 1938 Mr. Jim Poling died Monday, March 21, in a Hollis hospital. He had been in failing health for approximately three and a half years and had been ill for several months. His one was one and one-half miles south of Arlie. He was one of the prominent citizens of that area and was widely known throughout the entire southeastern part of this county, as well as in Childress county and Oklahoma. Survivors include his widow and six children, Mrs. Leona Covey, Dillon Poling, Ted Poling, J. D. Poling, Weldon Poling and Billy Charles Poling of Hollis and Melton Poling of Amarillo, and one sister, Mrs. Charlie Dysart of New Mexico, and his mother, Mrs. W. Poling of Arlie.
