Funeral services for Mrs. Matilda K. Zapalac, 90, were held Wednesday, November 13 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellinger under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home with Father Ben Mazurkiewicz officiating. Burial was held at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Zapalac was born January 1, 1895 in Colorado County to Anton Kallus and Josephine Kychopen (Wychopen) Kallus. Mrs. Zapalac lived 19 years in Fayetteville and was affiliated with KJZT. She was also a Catholic. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Lidak of Edna and Mrs. Annie Supak of Ellinger; two sons Rudolph and Lenart Zapalac both of Ellinger; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one step great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons, and one daughter. Pallbearers were: Julius Tupa, Jr., Larry Tomanek, Elbert Owens, Larry Zapalac, Jerome R. Supak, Jimmy Zapalac and L.A.
