Bio
Daniel Martin Barton died peacefully at home in Springville, Utah, surrounded by friends and family on August 19, 1997. Mart was born March 1, 1911, in Greenville, Utah, to Jesse Horton and Margaret Martin Barton. He married Nellie Bird on August 9, 1932, in San Bernardino, California. They were later sealed in the Hawaiian LDS Temple on August 9, 1964. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; children: Robert 'D' (Dolores) Barton, Chandler, AZ; Jess E. Barton and the late Jean C. Barton; Dan K. Barton; Carma Duncan (Jim); Elaine Brown (Arnie) all of Springville, UT; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Jessie Shipp, Springville; Norma Nell Smith, Orlando, FL; brothers: Keith Barton, Beaver, UT; and Gerald B. Barton, Washington State. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lena B. Gadd. Burial was August 22, 1997.
