Daniel Keith "Dan" Barton 1937 - 2020 Early Life: Daniel "Dan" was born September 9, 1937, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Daniel Martin Barton and Nellie Bird Barton. He graduated from Springville High School in 1955. Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Dan lived in Springville for most of his life. During the early 1960s, he was a Pony League umpire and Little League coach. He was also a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International. Dan served as a Springville Police Officer and the past President of the Central Utah Peace Officers Association. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and golfing. Daniel Keith "Dan" Barton, of Springville, Utah, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He was 82. Survived By: His daughters: Dana Barton Henderson, of Idaho; Lisa Barton Whitlock, of Arizona; Tara Barton, of Springville; and Jolynn Benson, of Annabella, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Bob and Jess; and sister, Elaine. Preceded In Death By: His father and mother; his sister, Carma Duncan; nephew, Barton Duncan; grandson, Michael D. Thomas; and Billie, his beloved dog.
