POCATELLO - Sharon Kay Bacon passed away December 31, 2010 of natural causes in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born October 12, 1943 in Steele City, Nebraska, to Morris and Pearl Tucker. Sharon moved to Pocatello, Idaho when she was a young girl. She was married to Dwight Bacon on June 27, 1963. They spent the last 47 wonderful years together, during which time they were blessed with five sons, David (Anissa) Bacon, James (Barbara) Bigham, Daniel (Stacey) Bacon, Dwight Bacon, and Douglas (Jessica) Bacon. Sharon loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sharon lived in Providence, R.I.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Bremerton, Wash.; Long Beach, Calif.; Honolulu, Hawaii; and San Diego, Calif., with her family while her husband was in the U.S. Navy, before returning to Pocatello, which she always considered home. Sharon is survived by her husband, her children, 12 grandchildren, her brother, Robert (Peggy) Eden, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Vernal Rogers, Isabel Moore, and Bonnie Reed; and one brother, Chuck Eden. Downard Funeral Home is helping the family with arrangements, where the family will be receiving guests Wednesday, January 5, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held on January 6, 2011, at 1 p.m. with a viewing at 12 p.m. at Downard Funeral Home, 241 North Garfield Ave. Pocatello, (208) 233-0686.
