David Mark Bacon (56) of Pocatello was born March 30, 1965, passed away on April 7, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born to Dwight Isaac Bacon and Sharon Kay Tucker. David was born in Pocatello, Idaho at Bannock Regional Medical Center. His father was in the Navy, so the family moved around a lot. He grew up in Pocatello, ID, Bremerton, WA, Long Beach, CA, Honolulu, HI, and San Diego, CA. They eventually returned to Pocatello where they remained. He went to high school in San Diego, CA. He enlisted into the US Navy in 1986 and was honorably discharged in 1992. He met Anissa Lawrence in 1993 and they were married May 31, 1995. They have 3 children Raymond, Bekki, and Beth. He went to University of Phoenix where he received his master's in business administration. He worked to EA Miller Trucking Company for 15 years; the company was bought by JBS Trucking where he worked for 1 year. He then switched to LW Miller Transportation where he worked for another 10 years. He liked camping and fishing. He loved semi trucks, Navy ships, and fast cars. He enjoyed watching old western movies, especially John Wayne. But, most of all, he loved spending time with family. He enjoyed taking his family to dinner at Texas Roadhouse whenever he was home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dwight Isaac and Sharon Kay, his grandparents, Morris and Pearl (Townsend) Tucker, Roy and Leona (Harvey) Bacon. David is survived by his wife Anissa Bacon, his 3 children; Raymond Lawrence, Bekki (Jared) Payne, and Elizabeth Bacon, his grandchildren; Kyri Payne and a baby boy on the way, his brothers; Daniel (Stacey) Bacon, James (Barbara) Bigham, Dwight Bacon, Douglas (Mandy) Bacon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held at Downard Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 21st at 6PM-8PM then again on Thursday, April 22nd at 10AM also at Downard Funeral Home. The funeral will be begin at 11AM. Miltary Rites will follow at Mt View Cemetery, Section 54 West. Published by the Downard Funeral Home, April 20, 2021. Military rites performed by the Pocatello Veteran's Honor Guard.
