Funeral services for W. D. Forrest, 87 were scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday in the Oakley Metcalf Chapel with Reverend Harold Holcombe officiating. Interment was to be in the Huntington Cemetery. Mr Forrest died in a LaMarque hospital Thursday morning. He was born on November 13, 1877 in Angelina County and had resided here all of his life. Mr Forrest was a retired farmer and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Faye Cantrell of LaMarque, Mrs. Iva Nell Elder of Houston, and Mrs. Jack McCollough of LaMarque, four sons Lloyd Forrest of LaMarque, Emmett Forrest of Lufkin, Joe Forrest of LaMarque and Arthur D. Forrest of Apple Springs, one sister Mrs. Lina Sullivan of Huntington 1 brother Travis Forrest of Huntington, 20 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dick Forrest, Roy Morehouse, Lewis Johnson, Tommie Finley, J. T. Johnson and Lloyd Forrest.
