Harry S. Barney, 78, 636 Putnam Street [Eau Claire, WI], died Tuesday at Luther Hospital. He was born in the town of Seymour [Eau Claire County, WI] and married Irene Agar on May 2, 1934 in Eau Claire. He worked for 40 years at Uniroyal, before retiring in 1969. Survivors include his wife [Irene Agar Barney], four daughters: Eileen Thompson of San Antonio, TX, Kathleen Schumacher of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mary Barney, Janet Quale, both of Eau Claire; four sons, Patrick and Paul, both of Anchorage, Alaska, Michael of Chatsworth, Calif., and Edmund of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, a great-grandchild and his brother, brother, Edmund Barney of Eau Claire. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery [Eau Claire, WI]. Contributor: BJ Rosenberg (47182589)
