Bio

Erma Bingham Peterson Bird died October 7, 1998, in Lehi. She was born December 10, 1916, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Ashel Calvin and Grace Casper Bingham . She married Morris L. Peterson July 3, 1937; later divorced. She married J. Lewis Bird June 1, 1970, in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1975. Survivors include three daughters and three sons: Mrs. Reed (Midge) Street, Lehi; Mrs. Ken (Linda) Pierce, Provo; Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Livingston, Maryland; Joseph (Shirley) Peterson, LaPointe; Don Peterson, Salt Lake; and Jim Peterson, Sandy; 7 step-children: Jim Bird, Henderson, NV; C. Eric (Nora) Bird; J. Douglas (Naomi) Bird, and Mrs. Leon (Barbara) Lee, all of Springville; Mrs. Stanley (Mary Ann) Jenkins of Layton; B. Blake (Sue Ann) Bird, Salt Lake; and Mrs. David (Brenda) Lawlor, Centerville; 66 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. Also survived by 7 brothers: Howard (Sylvia), Orem; Raymond (Fern), Bluffdale; Clyde (Karen) and William, California; Lowell (Blaudwin), Salt Lake; Ashel (Ruth), St. George; and Richard (Mary Jean), Magna. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Owen and Weldon; two sisters, Beatrice Dennis and Elva Woodruff; and one son-in-law, Kenneth L. Pierce. Burial was October 12, 1998.
