FORT WORTH - Burt Grissom, a retired assembler for General Dynamics, now Lockheed Fort Worth, died Wednesday at a White Settlement nursing home. He was 89. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Mr. Grissom was born in Fulton, Miss., and had lived in the Fort Worth area 51 years. He retired from GD in 1969 after 23 years. He was a member of St. John The Apostle United Methodist Church. His wife, Maudie Grissom, died in 1986. Survivors: Two sons, David Grissom of White Settlement and Daniel B. Grissom of Fort Worth; three daughters, Dorothy Burdine of Grand Prairie, Iris Reznicek of Dallas and Norma Sue Martin of Arlington; brother, Earl Grissom of Fulton; two sisters, Jasmine Wilson and Dolen Steele, both of Fulton; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
