Bio

Mack was the youngest of 10 children born to Mitchel Henry Anderson and Lovicia Aveline Ivester Anderson. Photo posted shows Mack as young child. Mack Anderson married Olga Hankins in 1923 in Beckham County, Oklahoma. They had one child named Norma June Anderson who was born in June 1924 in Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Mack later married Dora Mae Mersalls. Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA), page 2 Wednesday, April 19, 1967 Anderson – of Alglers, La., on Tuesday, April 18, 1967, at 10:45 o'clock a.m., Mack Anderson, beloved husband of Dora Mae Mersalls; father of Mrs. June Laramore; stepfather of Larry and Jack Lankford and Mrs. Sandra Blakney; brother of Dowel Anderson, Mrs. Stella Thomas, Mrs. Hallie Klutts, Mrs. Hattie Sutton and Mrs. Bonnie Chambers; also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services from Westside Funeral Homes Co., 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La., on Thursday, April 20, 1967, at 9 o'clock a.m. Religious services by Rev. Taylor Wall. Interment in Westlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 1967. (note: brother listed above as 'Dowel' is actually Joe Dall.)
