Mrs.Viola Cromwell,83,1723 Silver St.,died Monday in Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.Services will be 1p.m.Friday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.Capt. Dave Corliss of the Salvation Army Church officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs.Cromwell the former Viola M.Wickey born,July 16,1896 in German City,Iowa,daughter of Gustva & Louisa(Robinson)Wickey.She came to Sioux City at the age 2. She married Alvin F.Cromwell June 24,1918 in Sioux City. He died Nov.17,1957. Survivors include four daughters,Marjorie Harmon,Gertrude Kent,Madline Hewitt and Doris Young of Sioux City;brother George of Grand Rapids,Minn;sister Katherine Bogenrief;17 grandchildren;34 great-grandchildren;eight great-great-grandchildren;several neices and nephews;other relatives;friends. Preceded in death by brothers;Joesph Sr.,August"Gus",Ralph,Benjamin,Roy William,Melvin,Frank;sisters,Effie Burton,Cora Burton,Lillian Johnson;her parents.
