Bio

Doris L. Young, 56, 2003 Court St., died Friday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Captain Dave Corliss of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday until service time. The former Doris L. Cromwell was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Sioux City and was a lifelong resident. She married Jasper C. Young March 1, 1946, in South Sioux City. He died April 18, 1982, in Sioux City. Survivors include two sons, Cecil and Cleo, both of Glenwood; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Vicki) Little and Miss Gertrude Young, both of Sioux City and Betty Jean Calamanco; three sisters, Mrs. William (Marjorie) Harmon, Mrs. Gertrude Kent and Mrs. Mike (Madeline) Hewitt, all of Sioux City and seven grandchildren.
