Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Thursday, 7 January 1915, page 5 Mrs. Charles Joehnck passed away at six o'clock this morning at her home in the southeast part of the city. Mrs. Joehnck has been sick for the last three months, ailing from dropsy and a complication of diseases. Little hopes were entertained for her recovery in the last few days and she passed away peacefully. Mrs. Joehnck was 49 years, 6 months and 8 days of age. Twenty-seven years ago Miss Anna Osterholdt was united in marriage to Charles Joehnck in this city and the family has lived here continuously during the whole time. Six children were born to this union, two daughters of whom are left to mourn the untimely loss of the mother. They are Mrs. Chris Bruhn, Jr. and Mrs. Fred Rief. A sister, Mrs. Detlef Lillienthal, resides here and the father, two brothers and a sister live in Canada. Relatives at a distance have been notified and until word has been received no announcement of the funeral will be made at this time.
