Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Jul 22, 1974 pg 1 Ben Wallace Services Held Cuero-Ben Roy Wallace 70 died unexpectedly at his home at 305 Prairie St. Saturday. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Freund Funeral Home. Mr. Wallace was born in Bandera County Feb. 13, 1904 the son of John A and Nancy E. McWhorton Wallace. He married Gladys Cowley in Gonzales June 27, 1925. Mr. Wallace a retired textile mill worker is survived by his wife; a daughter Mrs. John Wisda of Cuero; a son Ben Wallace Jr. of Houston; three brothers Morris Wallace of Gonzales Claude Wallace of Seguin and John Wallace of Stratton Route Cuero; two sisters Mrs. Sarah Geiger of Gonzales and Mrs. Ella Fox of Cuero six grandchildren and to great-grandchildren.
