Bio

John Ashley Wallace was the second child born to John Martis and Sarah Miller Wallace. His siblings were: Victoria Mary Wallace born 1869, Mary Ellen Wallace born 1873 and Daniel Love Wallace. Wallace Passes Away In Harwood Section John Ashley Wallace, well known resident of Harwood died at his home Saturday September 8 ar 12 a.m. Surviving him besides his wife are Mrs. A. B. Winzerried of Garwood, Mrs. L. H. Geiger of Gonzales, Miss Ella Wallace of Gonzales and Morris Wallace of Harwood, Ben Wallace of Dewville, Allen and Claude Wallace of Gonzales and John Wallace of Yoakum. Mr. Wallace was 63 years of age. He was formerly a resident of Hochhiem and later resided in Bebe. Impressive funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. B. House Sunday morning at 10 o'clock in the Harwood Ciry Cemetery. -------------------------------------------- Suggested Edit: Hello and thanks for your memorial. I am suggesting to remove the link to Martha Jane McWhorter Wallace (Find a Grave 57146886) as she is not the mother of John Ashley Wallace. He was born in 1871 and she did not marry his father until 1892 (she was married to my 2x great grandfather James Collins at the time of John Ashley Wallace's birth).
