WILLIAMS, NORWOOD DAVID "WOODY" Retired switchman for South Central Bell and a resident of Grosse Tete, he died at 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at his residence. He was 81, a former resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Smithdale, Miss. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Thurston Brice. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Margie Williams of Grosse Tete; a daughter, Janis W. Turner of Newnan, Ga.; a son, Norwood David Williams Jr. of Visalia, Calif.; two sisters, Ruby W. Anders and Evelyn Brewer, both of McComb, Miss.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy R. Williams. He was a member of Pioneers of America. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
