Source: Topeka State Journal, Shawnee County, Kansas, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1960, page 16: Walker Services - Services for Wood Henry Walker, 50, 1520 Atchison, are tentatively set for Thursday, with the Gibson Funeral Home of Lufkin, Tex., in charge. Burial will be in the cemetery at Huntington, Tex. He was fatally injured Monday at a Union Pacific Railroad crossing south of Delia. He was born Dec. 19, 1909, at Huntington, Tex. He was a pipefitter employed by the Wallace Process Piping Co. of Denver and had lived in Topeka about six weeks. He was a member of the Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 1317 at Lake Jackson, Tex., El Mina Temple of Galveston, Tex., Grand Chapter No. 830, RAM, of Idaho; and the Plumbers-Steamfitters Local No. 192 of Cheyenne, Wyo. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia Ivy Walker, and a daughter, Joyce Walker, both of the home; a son, Delbert Walker of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three grandchildren; his father, Andrew J. Walker of Huntington, Tex.; a brother, Dorsey Walker of Lufkin, Tex; and two sisters, Mrs. Lavana Ivy of Evadale, Tex., and Mrs. Pearl Harvey of Angleton, Tex.
