Ruth E.Elliott June 12,1928-November 17,2015 Ruth E.Elliott, 87, passed away November 17, 2015 at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance. She was born June 12, 1928 at Nonpareil, in Box Butte County, Nebraska to Michael and Lillian (Godden) Shimek. She attended school in Marsland and graduated from Chadron High School in 1946. On September 20, 1947 she was united in marriage to Donald Elliott in Alliance where she has made her home since that time. For many years she was a custodian at Grandview Elementary School and later at the United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Bill Elliott, her brother, Marvin Shimek and an infant sister, Lillian. Memorial services will be November 20 at the United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
