FORT WORTH - LeVern Franko Darino, 78, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary and visitation: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Daniel Cannon, Michael Neal, Matthew Redden, Jonathan Redden, Chris Robison and Kris Stubsten. Memorials: Her memory may be honored with a gift to the Memorial Fund at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3717 Stadium Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76109. LeVern was born July 18, 1927, in Fort Worth to Mary and Mike Franko. In her early years, she worked in the family grocery store, Franko's Market, on the north side of Fort Worth. She graduated from North Side High School. During World War II, she met and married her devoted husband of 59 years, Vincent Darino. LeVern and Vincent were members of St. Andrew Catholic Church for 50 years. Vincent preceded her in death just five short months ago. LeVern's kind and loving nature endeared her to everyone who crossed her path. She was the dearest mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was "best friend" to her daughters. In addition to her husband, LeVern was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Lou; sisters, Frances Kotecki and Magdalen Franko; and brother, Edmund Franko. Survivors: Her daughters, Monica Neal and her husband, John, Mary Theresa Cannon and her husband, Roger, and Marcia Redden and her husband, Wyatt; grandchildren, Melinda Robison and her husband, Chris, Michelle Neal, Michael Neal and his wife, Angela, Daniel Cannon, Jennifer Stubsten and her husband, Kris, and Matthew, Jonathan, Courtney and Veronica Redden; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Kristina Neal and Grayden and Ozlyn Stubsten; brother, Norbert Franko; and numerous nieces and nephews.
