FORT WORTH - Magdalen "Maggie" Constance Franko, 58, a bookkeeper for Franko Grocery, died Thursday in Fort Worth. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Vigil: 4 p.m. today at Thompson's Harveson and Cole Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church. Magdalen Franko was born April 8, 1938, in Fort Worth. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. She graduated from Mount Carmel Academy as salutatorian of her class. She also attended TCU on a scholarship. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Exes of Mount Carmel. She was also an organist and pianist and had played for the church. Survivors: Brothers and sisters, Mary Frances and her husband, Gerald Kotecki, of Farmers Branch, Edmund M. Franko and his wife, Yarmilla, Norbert S. Franko and his wife, Mary Agnes, and Le Vern Darino and her husband, Vincent J., all of Fort Worth; 16 nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
