Wife of John Luther Cupp. Mrs. Rose Ellen Cupp, 79, of South Ault street died July 2 at her home. Born Jan. 27, 1904, in Chariton County, she was a daughter of John Henry and Laura Ellen Jones Howard. Mrs. Cupp had lived in Moberly 61 years and was employed 38 years by the J. M. Stamper Company. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Surviving are two sons, Ben Cupp and Carl (Buddy) Carver, both of Moberly; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Mattice, Moberly; Mrs. Walter (Helen) Nickerson, New Franklin, and Mrs. Henry (Lola) Fainter, Moberly; step-daughter, Mrs. Catherine Motter, Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Prather, Marshall; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children and three husbands. Funeral services were held this morning with Rev. Dennis Smith of the First Assembly of God Church officiating.
